JAMESTOWN – In an effort to get a better handle on the rise of COVID-19 cases in Chautauqua County, the health department is hosting a new testing site in Downtown Jamestown this week.

The free rapid testing will take place on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday at the South County Office Building on East 4th Street.

Staff will be on hand Monday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Pre-registration is recommended to reduce wait time, but walk-ins will be accepted as long as appointments are available.

To register visit chqgov.com/public-health/covid-19-testing-sites. Face coverings are required at the testing clinic regardless of vaccination status.
