CHAUTAUQUA – A 37-year-old Dunkirk man died late Sunday night during a snowmobile crash in the Town of Chautauqua.
The Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to a trail off of Bloomer Road around 10 p.m.
Deputies, along with members of the Mayville Fire Dept, Chautauqua County EMS and Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office Navigation Unit, located the male victim, later identified as Thomas Allen, at the crash site.
Medical personal attempted life saving measures, but deputies say Allen was subsequently pronounced deceased at the scene by the Chautauqua County Coroner.
At this time the cause of the accident is under investigation.
