1,000s Plus Without Power From Ellington To Randolph

RANDOLPH – Over 2,500 households were without power from the Ellington to Randolph areas on Monday night.

According to the NYSEG outage map, towns impacted include Randolph, East Randolph, Cold Spring, Conewango, Napoli, Leon, Cherry Creek and Ellington.

Power company officials report the estimated restoration time is around 9 p.m. Monday.


Power flickered for many around 6 p.m. before cutting out completely.

A transformer fire on County Route 83 is blamed as the source for the outage.
