ERIE, Pa. (Erie News Now) – UPMC Hamot gave out their 75,000th dose of the COVID-19 vaccine on Thursday. It was given to five-year-old Jordan, accompanied by his mom Katie.

This all comes a day before the two-year anniversary of the World Health Organization declaring COVID-19 a pandemic.

Hamot staff welcomed Jordan and let him pick out his own band-aid, and gave him a sticker to take home.

Other staff members told Erie News Now they’re seeing more and more parents bringing in their children for their COVID shot.

Jordan will be receiving a goodie bag from UPMC Hamot in a few days to congratulate him for being the 75,000th person to get their vaccine.
