DUNKIRK – Southern Chautauqua Federal Credit Union opened a new branch on Vineyard Drive in Dunkirk on Thursday.
The credit union celebrated the big day with ceremonial ribbon cutting.
Southern Chautauqua has served the Chautauqua County area since the early 1960’s. Since then, they have launched many financial programs like loan services in the county.
A point that CEO John Felton expands on.
“As a community development financial institution, one of the things we pride ourselves on is helping individuals who maybe have struggled with their finances previously,” explained Felton. “We know that a credit score is a snapshot of who you are today, and it talks about your past. It really doesn’t talk about your future.”
A major goal of Southern Chautauqua, Felton goes on to say, is building relationships with members as well as taking a personalized approach to address needs.
