JAMESTOWN – A 23-year-old is in police custody following an overnight vehicle pursuit in Jamestown.

Jamestown Police report officers attempted to stop a vehicle at the intersection of North Main and Buffalo Streets around 2 a.m. Wednesday.

The vehicle, police say, refused to pull over and led officers on a pursuit into the city’s northside before the chase came to an end at a West 11th Street address.

James Meuker was identified as the driver. Police said he refused to exit the vehicle when called on by officers.

He was eventually arrested and charged with crimes related to the chase, and on an outstanding warrant from the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office.
