DUNKIRK – The Chautauqua County is set to make a comeback this year, opening in late-July.

Organizers behind the event announced the news on Monday that the longtime tradition will return to the fairgrounds in Dunkirk from Tuesday, July 19 through Sunday, July 24.

Last year, the event was put on hold for the second consecutive year due to lack of lack of guidance from New York State.

In addition to traditional grandstand events like the demolition derby, officials say classic fair food and amusement rides will also return.

Tickets are scheduled to go on sale mid-June, with additional information expected to be released then.
