DUNKIRK – A plethora of activities will be returning this year for residents of Northern Chautauqua County to enjoy.

City of Dunkirk officials made the announcement at the Boardwalk Market Wednesday afternoon surrounded by local supporters and business owners.

Several events, which in recent years had been canceled due to the pandemic, will be making a comeback this summer season.

Beloved traditions like the Memorial Day Parade, which frequently attracts thousands of visitors, as well as the Summer Concert Series, are just a few of the happenings.

During the announcement, officials stressed that community support is vital for these events to take place. Along with Dunkirk Mayor Wilfred Rosas, city Events Coordinator Ryan Hall and other local leaders detailed the full summer schedule.

“We have a long, full list of summer events. We’re very excited,” Hall said at the press conference. “Also, I just wanted to piggyback off of what Mayor Rosas stated about our sponsors. I truly am very, very grateful to work with all our sponsors. Without their wonderful, generous donations, we wouldn’t have these fabulous events like this. So, thank you again. From the bottom of my heart, thank you.”
