ERIE, Pa. (Erie News Now) – The Wall that Heals has made eight stops already on its 2022 tour. This Wednesday, the traveling Vietnam War Memorial will make its way to Erie, escorted by a brigade of motorcycles and American flags.
Thousands of people from across the country have been able to stop, pay their respects, and learn about the Vietnam War. Local veterans we’ve spoke to say they know they’ll get emotional seeing the wall in person, but they’re ready for that closure and healing.
Although this experience is especially for veterans and their families, organizers say the healing is for everyone.
