JAMESTOWN – Officials are investigating the cause of an accident that took down a telephone pole in Jamestown Thursday afternoon.

First responders were notified around 1:30 p.m. Thursday that a Semi truck had crashed into a telephone pole on Buffalo Street, between Second and Allen Streets.

The crash ripped the pole out of the ground and disconnected the power cables.

Crews quickly got to work to dislodge the wires from the pole and restore power safely to the area.

As of reporting, there is no official cause of the crash.

This is a developing story and will be updated as more information becomes available.
