SILVER CREEK – A medical helicopter has been requested to the scene of a serious crash involving a fuel tanker on Route 20 near Silver Creek.

Chautauqua County Fire Dispatch reports the crash happened mid-morning Tuesday on the Route 20 overpass of Interstate-90 near Aldrich Road.

At least one person suffered serious burns after a tanker truck struck another vehicle head-on and subsequently caught fire. Around 10:30 a.m. the fire was reported to be extinguished.
