DUNKIRK – Strong currents are creating dangerous swimming conditions on Lake Erie.

The National Weather Service in Buffalo issued a Beach Hazzard Statement for beaches of Chautauqua and Southern Erie counties through Monday evening.

Officials ask would be swimmers to stay out of the water to avoid dangerous swimming conditions.
