JAMESTOWN – An online event that boosts fundraising efforts for local non-profit organizations in Chautauqua County has announced totals from this year’s efforts.
The fifth annual ‘Give Big CHQ’ event is a one-day online fundraising event hosted by Northern Chautauqua Community Foundation and the Chautauqua Region Community Foundations.
The online event was first launched to assist non profit organizations that had previously struggled to set up online donor options.
The event took place on June 9th, serving a total of 112 nonprofits. More than 2,300 donors took part, and as a result, $347,392 was raised.
Some of the top businesses who participated this year were Options Care Center, Chautauqua Lake Partnership, and Westfield Memorial Hospital Foundation. For the full list, visit givebigchq.org.
