JAMESTOWN – The Jamestown Police Department is investigating a tire slashing spree.

Detectives are seeking at least two suspects believed to be responsible for slashing around 30 vehicle tires during the overnight hours between July 8 and July 11 on the city’s westside.

They are asking residents to check security camera video footage during that time period.

Police said the two suspects targeted the area of McKinley Avenue, Charles Street, Norwood Avenue, Chautauqua Avenue, Delaware Avenue, Front Street, Forest Avenue, and Chambers Street.

Anyone with footage, or information regarding the suspects, are asked to contact Detective Morganti at 716-969-5565 or at Morganti@jpdny.com.

The department is thanking Johnson Family Towing who voluntarily assisted many of the victims with changing their tires free of cost.
