BROCTON – A new place for veterans to find resources and support has opened its doors to the community in northern Chautauqua County.
Veterans 4 Christ, a local Christian outreach organization, unveiled its new location in the village of Brocton with a ribbon cutting ceremony on Thursday.
The new site on West Main Street offers services such as online banking to veterans who may not have access to the internet.
Veterans 4 Christ is partnered with several large groups in the region, including the Veteran’s Peer to Peer Program.
Founder Wes Tessey stressed the importance of supporting the nation’s veterans.
“I know from my heart that everybody in our organization is here to help. We have tremendous resources for anything you might need,” Tessey said. “You may have trouble with housing. You may have trouble with taxes. You may have trouble with benefits. We have the people and the connections that can get you the answers you need right away. We’re not going to tell you to wait until next month, we’ll put you in touch right away with someone who can help you.”
Veterans 4 Christ holds events regularly to bring veterans in the region together. For more information, visit www.Veterans4Christ.org.
