ELLERY – A 40-year-old man is accused of attempting to burn down a residence in the Town of Ellery.
The Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office responded to the location for a 911 hang up around 11:30 p.m. Thursday.
Following an investigation it was alleged that Dan Lutgen attempted to burn down a residence while other people were inside.
Lutgen was arrested and transported to the Chautauqua County Jail for arraignment.
He is charged with second-degree attempted Arson and second-degree reckless endangerment.
