DUNKIRK, NY (WNY News Now) – One of the latest investments in mental health in northern Chautauqua County is now fully operational.

The Chautauqua County Department of Mental Hygiene hosted tours of their new behavioral health clinic on Friday.

The clinic, which is located at 60 Franklin Avenue in Dunkirk, has been in operation for a number of years, but recently moved to this new location.

Staff at the facility offer a wide range of services, including counseling, group therapy, and peer support. Carrie Treto explained one of the goals of the clinic.

“We are able to go out into the community and provide support to individuals where they’re at in their homes,” Treto said. “We link individuals to resources in the community as well as here at the clinic, or wherever they decide to access care.”

The behavioral health clinic is open Monday through Friday to anyone in the community who needs support. For more information, you can visit the Department of Mental Hygiene’s website at chqgov.com/mental-hygiene.
