FREWSBURG, NY (WNY News Now) – A 38-year-old Frewsburg man was allegedly busted with child pornography following an investigation by New York State Police.

Troopers with the Bureau of Criminal Investigation received a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children that between December 2020 and March 2022, multiple pornographic files of underage kids were uploaded to computers reportedly owned by John Peterson.

A search warrant was later executed at Peterson’s residence, where police said they found a deserialized loaded 9MM handgun and two computers.

The Computer Crime Unit analyzed the devices and confirmed the child porn was present.

Peterson was arrested and charged with criminal possession of a weapon, criminal possession of a weapon, and 10 counts of possessing a sexual performance by a child.
