JAMESTOWN, NY (WNY News Now) – A 22-year-old man is accused of assault, in connection with a dispute in southern Chautauqua County last month.

Troopers with New York State Police responded to UPMC Chautauqua Hospital in Jamestown for a report of a past-tense assault back on September 18.

Investigation revealed that two days prior, Jacob Jones, arrived at the victim’s residence in Kennedy to confront him about an unrelated incident.

Both began arguing and then fighting, during which time police accused Jones body slammed the victim to the ground, resulting in several broken bones.

Jones later turned himself in to State Police in Jamestown and released with an appearance ticket for assault.
