School Bus Crashes Into Corn Field In Chautauqua County

STOCKTON, NY (WNY News Now) – A school bus crashed into a corn field in Chautauqua County on Friday afternoon.

The accident, which involved a First Student Bus, happened on Route 380 between Pearson and Cemetery Roads in the Town of Stockton around noon.


There was an adult driver and two students aboard the bus at the time of the crash.

While the exact extent of injuries was not immediately known, police said the victims were taken to Brooks Memorial Hospital in Dunkirk.

Preliminarily it’s believed the driver veered into a ditch and then overcorrected crashing into a corn field.



New York State Police and the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office are now investigating.

This is a developing story and will be updated when more information is available.

The report has been updated to correct the bus’s owner from Cassadaga-Valley Central School to First Student.
