JAMESTOWN, NY (WNY News Now) – A U-Haul truck was stolen while locals were in the process of moving in the City of Jamestown this week.

Officers with Jamestown Police responded to a Prospect Street residence on Monday where renters reported the truck was stolen as they were loading it.

After getting tips from the community, the truck was spotted in the Town of Busti where it crashed through a fence before coming to a rest in a field near South Avenue.

Employees of a nearby Resource Center property advised police the driver was laying in the grass and had already been taken to UPMC Chautauqua Hospital for evaluation.

After investigating at the hospital, police charged 39-year-old Timothy Warrior with grand larceny and criminal mischief.
