MAYVILLE, NY (WNY News Now) – A 29-year-old Jamestown man is headed to prison after he was sentenced in connection with two violent felonies.

The Chautauqua County District Attorney’s Office announced the conviction and subsequent sentencing of Bless Grant, also known as “Bam Bam,” on Monday.

Back in April, Grant plead guilty to attempted criminal possession of a weapon, a class C felony and then, in September he also plead guilty to an assault charge, after allegedly pistol whipping a person.

During the same alleged crime, prosecutors said Grant pointed a hand gun in a threating manner at another individual.

Judge David Foley sentenced the defendant to six years in state prison plus five years post release supervision for the first incident, and then three years in state prison plus five years post release supervision in the second crime. These sentences will be served concurrently.
