No Unnecessary Travel Ordered In Dunkirk Friday

New York State Police / MGN

DUNKIRK, NY (WNY News Now) – Police in the City of Dunkirk are asking the public to avoid all unnecessary travel, as a major lake effect snowstorm impacts the region.

The Dunkirk Police Department issued a Travel Advisory just before 7 a.m. Friday until further notice.

“Due to the deteriorating road conditions, there is to be no unnecessary travel,” police said in a statement. “Keeping vehicles off the roadway will assist with snow plowing and access for Emergency vehicles to travel.”

The City of Dunkirk also asks that residents adhere to Alternate Parking, as this will help with snow plowing and Emergency Vehicle access.
