WASHINGTON, D.C. — It looks like the nationwide rail strike won’t happen. On Friday, President Joe Biden signed legislation to impose a labor agreement between workers and rail companies.

By doing this, it prevents a strike that could’ve had serious damage to our economy.

The measure biden signed forces the companies and workers to an agreement they made a few months ago.

The deal includes a wage increase and more flexibile work schedules.

There was an attempt to include paid sick days, however, the senate couldn’t get enough votes to move that additional measure through.
