CINCINNATI, OH (Newsource) – The uncle of Buffalo Bills’ Player Damar Hamlin is updating the public on his nephew’s condition.
Tuesday Dorrian Glenn was outside of the hospital in Cincinnati Ohio where Hamlin is being treated after he collapsed on the football field on Monday night.
Officials said the Buffalo Bills Safety suffered cardiac arrest after he tackled an opponent during the game. Glenn thanked the medical personnel who he said worked hard to save his nephew’s life.
“He’s sustained some, some damage to his lungs and they’re working to try to remedy that, and they got him on a ventilator to help with the breathing to just to take some of the strain off his lungs so they can heal and recuperate. So yeah, it’s just, it’s just a sad situation all the way around,” said Glenn.
Glenn says Hamlin is still sedated, because doctors believe it will give him a better chance at healing. He says his nephew is also on a ventilator because he suffered some damage to his lungs.
The NFL says the postponed game between Bills and Cincinnati Bengals will not be resumed this week.
