NEW YORK, NY (Newsource) — Beer drinkers are having to dig a little deeper into their pockets.

The alcohol consulting company ‘Bump Williams’ says beer prices, not including sales at bars and restaurants, jumped seven percent during the last 13 weeks of 2022.

The firm said prices of some popular beers, including Bud Light, Miller Lite and Coors Lite increased even higher, by 10 percent, during that time.

Breweries have had to raise prices due to inflation and the increased cost of shipping and ingredients.

However, industry insiders say while people are generally buying less beer, higher prices are making up for it, with sales up about two percent last year.
