ELLICOTT, NY (WNY News Now) – Fire investigators are working to determine what sparked a fire that destroyed a home in the Town of Ellicott.

Around 10:30 p.m. on Wednesday night several area fire departments were dispatched to assist Fluvanna firefighters responding to a large house fire at 3384 Moon Road, just west of the Chautauqua County-Jamestown Airport.

Crews worked into the night to quell flames, which were reported to have rekindled early Thursday morning.

As a result of the fire, much of the structure was leveled to the ground with debris scattered around the countryside property.
