JAMESTOWN, NY (WNY News Now) — A 40-year-old Jamestown man was charged with Falsely Reporting an Incident after he allegedly entered the CVS in Brooklyn Square in Jamestown on Monday and claimed someone had threatened to shoot him in the parking lot.

Kenneth Mosley, Sr. stated that this suspect had a gun in his hand while threatening him. He called 911 to report the incident.

CVS staff immediately locked down the store and relocated customers and staff, including Mosley, to a safe location. When police arrived, the staff directed them to Mosley.

During their investigation, Jamestown Police Department stated Mosley’s story continually changed, and video surveillance ended up showing that no such incident occurred.

Mosley was taken into custody, transported to Jamestown City Jail, and was then released on an appearance ticket. He is set to return to court at a later date.
