CLYMER, NY (Erie News Now) — With a warmer start to the year, many local ski resorts and skiers have largely had to make-do with artificial snow.

But with snow in the forecast, many are looking forward to hitting the slopes with natural snow over the next few days.

“Getting that natural snow, helping out with our snowmaking and the snowmaking system out here is just going to work in our favor, making a little bit better of a surface,” said Bryan Geehrer, Assistant Manager of Ski Operations & Guest Services at Peek’n Peak Resort.

“CAT operators are able to groom that out. Got to keep that fresh layer for when skiers and riders come tomorrow morning and maybe a little bit of a powder day.”

Our areas are expected to get at least several inches through the end of the week.
