County Jail Inmate Accused Of Attacking Corrections Officer

MAYVILLE, NY (WNY News Now) – An inmate at the Chautauqua County Jail is accused of attacking a corrections officer.

The Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office reports Isaiah Pearson, while booked at county lock-up in Mayville following a standoff with police in Jamestown, allegedly became disorderly and started to throwing items on Tuesday.











When correction officers attempted to restrain the 28-year-old, he allegedly began fighting and attacked an officer, causing injury.

Pearson has since been charged with second-degree assault and remains in custody at the jail.

He was arrested on Sunday following a dispute and subsequent police standoff at the Cameo Apartments on East 5th Street in Jamestown.
