Chautauqua County Woman Accused Of Masterminding Numerous Break-Ins

PORTLAND, NY (WNY News Now) – A Chautauqua County woman is accused of masterminding numerous break-ins at local storage unit facilities and residential properties.

Rachael Blanchard is accused by the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Criminal Investigation Division of perpetrating burglaries at storage unit facilities in the Towns of Portland and Westfield, alongside a residential break-in in the Town of Portland this month.


Blanchard was taken into custody on Saturday by the Sheriff’s road patrol at a mobile home park on Route 20 in the Town of Portland.

Among property allegedly stolen during the crime spree includes a 2005 Honda CRV and various credit cards.

Blanchard is currently in county jail where she faces a slew of charges including burglary and grand larceny connected to the theft of a motor vehicle.
