JAMESTOWN, NY (WNY News Now) — Preparation is underway for a “Good Friday Easter Egg Hunt” in Lakewood.
In addition to the 5,000 count egg hunt multiple vendors will be set up to host face painting and egg coloring.
These colorful eggs not only contain prizes, but some hold raffle tickets. These tickets can be entered into a drawing for a chance to win over 70 prizes
“Just the ability for everyone to get together and enjoy the day, celebrate the season, and for people to get supplies if they need supplies because we do homeless supplies. People can come get supplies, kids can have a good day, and hopefully the weather will be great,” said Daniel Bass of Patriots for Chautauqua County.
Event organizer Be The Change You Want To See In Jamestown has also arranged for a meatless meal to take place after the festivities, and during this time 50 bags of food will be distributed to those in need as a way to give back to the community.
The hunt and events will take place from 12 to 3 p.m. free of charge at the YWCA Lake Lodge in Lakewood.
Afterwards, the meal and food giveaway will run from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., both this Friday.
