Delivery Truck Crash Blamed On Allegedly Intoxicated Driver

LAKEWOOD, NY (WNY News Now) – A crash involving a delivery truck in Lakewood is being blamed on an allegedly intoxicated driver.

On Friday officers with Lakewood-Busti Police responded to a motor vehicle accident on Big Tree Road.


Police report Wendie Cressley crashed into the back of a UPS truck which was parked along the side of the road.

Following an investigation, the 43-year-old Jamestown woman was accused of driving drunk.

After consenting to a breath test, Cressley’s blood alcohol level was captured at .17 percent; .08 is the legal limit in New York State.



She faces several criminal charges including DWI, following too closely, using a cellphone while driving and improper plates.
