Dunkirk Man Breaks Probation Sentenced

MAYVILLE, NY (WNY News Now) – A Dunkirk man has been sentenced after breaking probation in January 2023.

42-year-old Rodney Clyburn was arrested following a three-month long investigation into narcotics sales in the City of Dunkirk.

As a result of the search, investigators found 8.3 grams of fentanyl, four suboxone strips, scales and packing material for narcotics sales and $279 dollars in cash.


Clyburn was arrested and faces several counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance

On May 5th, the DA’s Office ran a violation of probation hearing on Clyburn for Attempted Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree, in March 2022.

Judge David Foley determined that Mr. Clyburn had violated the terms and conditions of his probation. Clyburn was sentenced to a term of 8 years in state prison and 3 years of post-release supervision as a second-felony offender.
