Local Felon Caught After Foot Chase

JAMESTOWN, NY (WNY News Now) – A Jamestown resident with several felony warrants for breaking into properties was apprehended Tuesday night.

Jamestown Police responded to a call about a suspicious person at an East 4th Street business at around 10:49 p.m. Tuesday evening.

After checking the area, 23-year-old Justin Rowe was discovered about one block away.

The 23 year old initially ignored commands to stop and, after a brief foot chase, was taken into custody.

He had several felony warrants stemming from vehicle thefts prior to last night’s incident.

Rowe is now charged with identity theft in the third degree, criminal possession of stolen property in the fourth degree, grand larceny also in the fourth degree, in addition to resisting arrest.

The felony offender was transported to the Jamestown City Jail, where he is now held pending arraignment.

Police urge residents to keep their car doors locked to help avoid future incidents.
