LAKEWOOD, NY (WNY News Now) – A typical traffic stop turned into a drug possession charge last week.
Lakewood Busti Police were conducting a routine traffic stop on Big Tree and Hunt road when they discovered methamphetamine hidden in the passenger’s bag at around 11:30 p.m.
The suspect, John Waite, was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in The Seventh Degree and is due in the Busti Town Court at a later date.
