Forty-Three Local Businesses With Critical Health Code Violations

JAMESTOWN, NY (WNY News Now) – From restaurants, to hotels, and even high school cafeterias, upon routine food service inspections it has been found that numerous businesses in Chautauqua County are in violation of health standards and protocols. 

The main critical health code violations, or red violations, that make a frequent appearance throughout several restaurants listed are item 2-C, Cooked or prepared foods are subject to cross-contamination from raw foods, item 8A, Food not protected during storage, preparation, display, transportation, and service from potential sources of contamination, item 7F, Precooked, refrigerated potentially hazardous food is not reheated to 165 degrees Fahrenheit or above within two hours, item 5A, Potentially hazardous foods are not kept at or below 45 degrees Fahrenheit during cold holding and item 7D, all ground meat and foods containing ground meat are not heated to 158 degrees Fahrenheit or above except by consumer request. 

This data is current as of January 1st, 2023 and is a community created list available to the public through the New York State Department of Health website.

Colony Restaurant – 2 critical violations

Cuisine’s Bakery – 1 critical violation

Demetri’s On The Lake – 1 critical violation

Domus Fare – 1 critical violation

El Azteca (dunkirk) – 2 critical violations

Falconer High School Cafeteria – 2 critical violations

The Fish – 2 critical violations

Fredonia Central School Cafeteria – 1 critical violation
