$14 Million In Illegal Pa Drugs Seized

HARRISBURG, PA (WNY News Now) – On Monday, Pennsylvania State Police announced that $14 million dollars worth of outlawed drugs were confiscated throughout the second quarter of 2023.  

Over the course of three months officers seized 144 pounds of cocaine, 60 pounds of fentanyl, 164 pounds of methamphetamines, 1,617 pounds of processed marijuana, and 74,074 pills of assorted narcotics, along with a slew of other prohibited drugs throughout Pennsylvania. 


1,227 pounds of prescription medication were also properly surrendered during the second quarter through the statewide program titled, “Prescription Drug Takeback.”

Dispersed across PA, police stations are offering drop boxes open 24/7 dedicated to the disposal of unused or unwanted medications.
