MAYVILLE, NY (WNY News Now) – An open house for potential new foster parents is set for later this month.
The Chautauqua County Department of Hygiene and Social Services’ Home Finding Team will be hosting the open house on Tuesday July 25th from 5 to 6 p.m. at the Park United Methodist Church located at 25 Maple Ave in Cassadaga, N.Y.
Virtual sessions are also available.
Foster care provides a safe and nurturing home environment for children whose parents are unable to care for them.
The ages of foster children range from infancy to adulthood. Some may have special medical, physical, and emotional needs.
Children may be a part of a group of siblings, who would benefit most by staying together.
