CHAUTAUQUA, NY (WNY News Now) – A local man lost in a heavily wooded area was found with the help of a K9 officer on Tuesday afternoon.
Chautauqua County Dispatch responded to Bloomer Road, in the Town of Chautauqua for a call from a man claiming to be lost in the woods at around 2:30 p.m. on July 11.
Sheriff’s K9 Drake was sent into the woods in the hopes of quickly locating the lost man.
The police dog was able to track the scent and locate the man about a half mile off the road.
The newly found man had minor injuries but none that required treatment.
