Falling Asleep Leads To Child Endangerment 


FALCONER, NY (WNY News Now) – A father of two was arrested for falling asleep last Friday evening. 

Police responded to a worried call about two young children walking alone in the middle of the road on East Elmwood Avenue at around 6:34 p.m. on July 14.

After checking the area, police discovered that Steven Sandberg fell asleep while watching his two daughters.


The girls were then able to leave the house and walk unsupervised around the Village of Falconer. 

Sandberg was arrested and charged with two counts of endangering the welfare of a child. 

He is set to appear in the Town of Ellicott Court at a later date.
