JAMESTOWN, NY (WNY News Now) – Gas prices are on the rise once again in New York State, according to AAA.

 The current average for a gallon of gas is $3.701 dollars, up three cents from last week.

Currently in Chautauqua County, the current average sits at $3.610 dollars, ten cents lower than the national average.

Pennsylvania is seeing an even higher uptick in prices, with the northern counties of the state having the highest average.

According to the gas price website, one year ago the price per gallon was $4.587 dollars.
