
Buffalo, NY (WNY News Now)- 51-year-old Peter P. Christopher of Buffalo was arraigned Tuesday morning before Buffalo City Court Judge Phillip Dabney, Jr. on 91 counts of Grand Larceny in the Fourth Degree and 91 counts of Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the Fourth Degree (Class “E” felonies).
Peter P. Christopher is accused of a series of thefts that occurred between May 1, 2023, and May 19, 2023, in downtown Buffalo. It is alleged that during this period, Mr. Christopher stole a total of 91 city parking meters from various locations, each meter valued at approximately $1,000.
Initially scheduled to be arraigned on Thursday, July 6, 2023, Mr. Christopher failed to appear, leading to the issuance of a bench warrant. Mr. Christopher was apprehended on the warrant after being arrested for another alleged theft-related crime.
According to reports, on Tuesday, July 25, 2023, at around 6:46 a.m., Mr. Christopher was arrested while trespassing at an auto parts store located on Clinton Street and New Babcock Street in the City of Buffalo. The individual is accused of intentionally causing damage to a vehicle while attempting to remove and steal the exhaust system.
Appearing before Buffalo City Court Judge Samuel Davis, Mr. Christopher was arraigned on several charges. These include one count of Criminal Mischief in the Third Degree, one count of Attempted Grand Larceny in the Fourth Degree (Class “E” felonies), one count of Possession of Burglar Tools (Class “A” misdemeanor), and one count of Criminal Trespass in the Third Degree (Class “B” misdemeanor).
