JAMESTOWN, NY (WNY News Now) – In an effort to help find our furry friends their fur-ever homes, WNY News Now has partnered with the Chautauqua County Humane Society for a segment we like to call, Pet Of The Week.
This week, we’re highlighting a gentle giant, Reba the dog.
“Reba is a three-year-old girl. She came to us from McKean County SPCA, we pulled her, she is a lovely girl, she’s a sweetheart. She is extremely dog friendly, she’s great with kids but we are recommending a no-cat home for her just because she seems a little too interested in them so just for their safety and her’s we’re hoping no cats,” said behavior coordinator Allie.
While Reba has only been at the Humane Society for a little while, she was a long-time resident of the McKean County SPCA.
“She’s been with us, I want to say, for a month now, but she was at McKean County for a little longer, she was there about a year. She was one of their longer residents,” Allie said.
This pooch is nothing less than a people pleaser.
“She is a gentle giant as I like to say, she just wants to please. She will sit all day and take treats from you, she is definitely a lap dog, she wants to cuddle on the couch with you but she’s also active too so she would enjoy a nice hike, going for a walk, family outings, anything of that sort,” said Allie.
