(WNY News Now) – Two suspects are in custody following a home invasion incident on the north side of Jamestown.

Jamestown – On August 21, 2023, at approximately 12:51 AM, officers from the Jamestown Police Department’s 3rd Platoon swiftly responded to a report of a person wielding a weapon at a residence on the city’s north side. Upon arrival, law enforcement was alerted that one suspect, Devon Wilson,29, of Jamestown had managed to escape the scene, while the other suspect, identified as Kaleb Dean,20, of Jamestown remained on-site.

An investigation uncovered that Wilson and Dean had illicitly entered the residence with the explicit intention of committing a crime. Notably, Wilson was armed with both a rifle and a knife, which he brandished, putting the lives of several individuals within the dwelling in danger. Wilson’s menacing display escalated as he attempted to forcibly seize belongings from one of the victims, all while wielding the aforementioned weapons.

Following an intense pursuit, Wilson was eventually apprehended by law enforcement. Importantly, he was still in possession of the knife that had been employed during the incident. Subsequently, Wilson faced a series of serious charges, including Attempted Robbery 2nd, Burglary 1st, two counts of Menacing 2nd, Conspiracy 4th, and Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd.

Meanwhile, Kaleb Dean, the accomplice who had remained at the scene, was charged with Burglary 2nd and Conspiracy 4th.

Both suspects were taken into custody without further incident and transported to the city jail. Pending their arraignment, they were being held as the legal proceedings continued.
