
(WNY News Now) – A Perrysburg man was apprehended by New York State Troopers on August 23, 2023, following a domestic altercation with his girlfriend at a Dunkirk Taco Bell location.
Dunkirk – State Troopers responded to an incident that unfolded at the Taco Bell on Bennett Road in Dunkirk on Thursday. Stuart L Elijah, 33, was taken into custody by Troopers from on August 23, 2023, at 4:45pm. Responding to a 911 call reporting a physical domestic dispute, law enforcement discovered a head laceration on Elijah’s girlfriend, prompting EMS assistance and her subsequent transport to Brooks Memorial Hospital.
Elijah now faces charges of Aggravated Criminal Contempt, a class D felony, along with Assault 3rd degree, categorized as a class A misdemeanor. The victim was found to be under an active ‘refrain from’ Order of Protection, designating Elijah as the restrained party. Additionally, it was revealed that Elijah had an outstanding bench warrant from the Cattaraugus County Sheriffs Office.
After being processed and fingerprinted at SP Fredonia, Elijah was transferred to the Chautauqua County Jail, where he awaits arraignment.
