
(WNY News Now) – After a five-day trial, a Hamburg resident has been found guilty by a jury of Second-Degree Murder and First-Degree Robbery charges.
Hamburg – Following a deliberation of approximately three hours, a jury has delivered a verdict against 34-year-old William J. Giambelluca of Hamburg, convicting him of Second-Degree Murder and First-Degree Robbery.
The charges stem from a November 2021 incident where Giambelluca assaulted a victim leaving a tavern in Blasdell, hitting him on the head and stealing cash. The victim, 67-year-old John E. Rados, Sr., succumbed to his injuries later.
Giambelluca now faces a potential sentence of 25 years to life in prison. His sentencing is scheduled for October 13, 2023, before Erie County Court Judge Kenneth Case. Giambelluca remains in custody without bail.
