(WNY News Now) – A Lakewood, Ohio man was apprehended by Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Deputies after being stopped for alleged traffic violations on Old Rd. in the Town of French Creek.

French Creek – Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office arrested Brian A. Delfs, 41, from Lakewood, OH, on August 27th, 2023, at approximately 1:39 am. Deputies conducted a traffic stop on Old Rd., French Creek, due to suspected traffic infractions.

Subsequent investigation revealed that Delfs was operating the vehicle while under the influence of alcohol. He faces charges including Driving While Intoxicated (DWI), DWI Per Se, Moving Unsafely Between Lanes, and Failure to Keep Right.


Delfs was taken into custody and transported to the Sheriff’s Office for processing. He was later released with tickets to appear in the Town of French Creek (Mina) Court on a later date.
