(WNY News Now) – A 27 year old Cheektowaga woman has been sentenced to 40 years to life in prison for her role in a murder.

Cheektowaga – Erie County District Attorney John J. Flynn has revealed that Jonay B. Robinson, 27, of Cheektowaga, has been sentenced to 40 years to life in prison. Robinson acted as the getaway driver during a shooting incident on July 5, 2021, outside the Ferry Grider Homes complex in Buffalo.

Her co-defendant, Dequan Richardson, fired shots into a crowd, leaving a toddler dead and three others injured. Robinson was found guilty of multiple charges, including Murder in the Second Degree and Assault in the First Degree.

Richardson, 24, is already serving 25 years to life after pleading guilty to the charges.
