(WNY News Now) – A Town of Mina man was apprehended following an altercation in which he allegedly assaulted a female with a broom, breaching a protective order.

Mina – On September 1, 2023, law enforcement officers from the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office and the New York State Police responded to an incident in the Town of Mina.

According to initial reports, Gregory A. Griswold, 34, is accused of assaulting a female by striking her with a broom. Subsequent investigation revealed that Griswold’s actions constituted a breach of a valid protection order.

As a result, Gregory A. Griswold was taken into custody and subsequently transported to Mayville for an arraignment.
